My 2016 GP has developed the following problem. Everything ok for first mile or so then manual gear selection with paddles will not work and cannot select manual with lever it stays in auto. After about another 10 miles display pops up "Gear Box Fault etc". Local dealer has diagnosed and says requires new " Actuator 9802017380" at £1000 plus !!!

The fault turned out to be a corroded orange wire from F6 above the battery to pin 3 of the 28 way connector on the gearbox ECU. The corroded wire was in the loom behind the battery and appeared to be corroded by battery acid (I'm not sure how) or from water entry into the loom. I believe it's a common fault looking at the forum.
Jan 30, 2018 · Problem med E6R Gear i C4 grand picasso. Jeg er den glade nye ejer af en let tilkørt C4 Grand Picasso med 166.000 km på tælleren. Det er en 2010 1,6 med E6R gearkasse. Lige fra start af har den "rystet"/rykket" ved igangsættelse i 1. gear. Problemet er mindre ved brug af padelshifts og ved et kraftigt tryk på speederen, men konstant tilstede.

Hi had what seems to be standard problem, clutch judder then dropping out of gear on 07 C4 GP 1.6 16V HDi EGS 6 speed gearbox 95,000 miles. Had clutch, dual mass flywheel and gearbox rebuilt back in October, cost £1200 and they also replaced known worn pipe after it leaked when they road tested after rebuild.
Feb 11, 2016 · Around 12 months ago I had my gearbox reconditioned and my actuator changed. Everything has been going fine until now, when I have started having problems with my gearbox again. One minute it would be fine next minute it's stuck in 1st gear, then it's fine again then I get gearbox fault and nothing works.
I have C4 Grand Picasso 2012 1.6 Auto. This morning my dash displayed "Gearbox Fault: Repair Needed". The symptoms following this message was that when i move the selector to Auto it doesn't auto change the gears. I can select Manual and change but it doesnt shift past 3rd gear. Reverse and Neutral are ok. Mar 13, 2016 · Like today, just outside my house, it came up with the gearbox fault and stayed in 'R' so I just switched off, left the selector in 'N' When I went back an hour later turned on the ignition, on the display the 'R' quickly changed to 'N' and it's back to normal for a while, selecting all gears as normal again.. Bloody thing 11hJT4.
